switched to this new messaging client, it's freaking cool. http://www.nullflux.com/dump/centericq.gif
it syncs up with LJ and notifies me of new posts, as well as having msn and yahoo support - so I'll be on all messengers rather than just AIM and ICQ / IRC now. It even has file transfer support (and after some fiddling with iptables and the router's firewall I'm sure we can get it working).
Isn't that cool? You know it's cool. |

Hello, everyone! Okay, real update. Brief as always though.
School is good (aka crappy).
Life is good (aka actually good).
Women (well, the woman..) are (is) good. (<3)
Between Oct. 14th and 17th I will be in Austin, TX, to visit UTexas @ Austin. And possibly some good friends. It's very exciting. I don't think I'll be going to school there, though ... I'd really like to get into one of my other schools. Incidentally I missed the deadline for applying for the Spring semester (at UT, but somehow, nowhere else), but I'm applying anyway. If I don't get into my other schools (Cornell, CMU, Purdue, RPI, North Western), I'll attend UTexas starting Fall 2005. (I say this because much like when I was applying to Hofstra, there is literally no chance that I -won't- get into UT.) *sigh* College crap is obnoxious.
I have a slight headache, almost like a hangover. But I didn't drink last night. (I totally should have bailed on work and gone out. But money is nice too.)

Dear LiveJournal Friends,
There has been a drastic cut in the subset of my friends list whose journals I read regularly. There is no publicly available list of whose journals are still read. If you suspect that I am for some reason no longer reading your journal, and care enough that you would like me to continue reading it, comment and give me a good reason why I should listen to (and comment on) your long-winded whiny teenage bullshit.
There are a whole bunch of you who exclusively ramble on about depressing nonsense about people who I don't know or care about, and honestly, it's become a considerable waste of my (oh-so-precious) time.
Sure, it's okay to do it once in awhile - and if you only update your journal once every couple of days (or weeks), it's fine by me if you do it every time you post. LiveJournal is a good outlet. I understand, and I sympathize. If that's you, you're probably still on the list.
But I don't need five pages of people whining about the same crap phrased differently every god damned day - or maybe even multiple times in a day. I in no way mean to censor anyone, and it's none of my business what you post, or do not post in your journal. It is, however, my business whether I choose to read it or not. As a direct result of that choice, as previously stated, I will no longer be reading many of your journals.
Yes, I am a bitter, ill-tempered man. If you have a problem with that, you can suck my left nut. The right one is too good for you.

In retrospect, the post that was here about three seconds ago wasn't a good idea. But since it's always good to let you all know that I'm alive, I'll post something anyway...
I am alive, and in good health.
My first year of college is finished.. my last final was this past thursday.
I'm working, again.. the money is good but the work is tedious and not all that interesting.
Life is quiet and a tad melodramatic (oxymoron?), but overall, it's great.
That is all. This has been a Public Service Announcement. Your regularly scheduled programming will resume shortly...
